A safe playground

Some people build swimming pools in their back yards. But outdoorpools in Alaska just won't work.

Since this particular family liveson the outskirts of Anchorage, they decided to build a sturdy, colorful playground for their3 and 4 year old sons, with smooth-stone gravel all around it to avoid knee scrapes and other injuries.

They finished building it on Saturday evening, and the following morning, as the mom was about to wake up the boys and have them go out to play in their new play center, this is what she saw from the upstairs window:

That is so cool... to be able to see that is. I would be worried that once they know it is there that they would try and return while my kids were playing... still an awesome sight to behold.

I think I'd be looking into a fence. Those bears just might enjoy that play set too much.

Those pics are something to remember.

But it is a good thing she saw them before she sent her kiddos off to play. Bears are neat to watch......from a distance. Thanks for putting a smile on my face today!
