I have been working on this but just can not get it to look correct. It is supposed to be transparent so the blog background shows up. But everytime it turns white on me.
Does anyone know how to fix this. I also had a flourish that I wanted to add under it but I am not going to mess with it until I get the siggy looking right.

I had the same problem when I started using a signature code. Here is how I learned to resolve the issue...
Go to "layouts"
Click on "settings"
Click "formatting"
Scroll down to "post template" (this should be above the save settings button)
Paste signature code in the post template box then click "save settings"
Your old posts will normally not change but any new posts will have the signature with no more white box.
