"In Germany, they first came for the communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a communist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Catholics and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Catholic.

Then they came for me -- and by that time there was nobody left to speak up."
I have been hearing over and over lately, that we do not need to get involved with politics, and that our trust needs to be in God.
I whole heartedly agree that our trust needs to be in God, but I believe we need to speak up and be proud of our beliefs. I am not going to be "tolerant" to the extent that I will be compromising on my beliefs. I will not deny God so I don't "offend" someone who is chosing to be offended.
I also have heard that we need to support our president. All I have to say to that is pfffffffffft. Would those same people say we need to be supportive of Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Castro???
I certainly hope not.
But what you say about praying for our president. The Bible says we are to pray for him and pray that we may live quiet and peaceable lives. To me that means I pray that God binds his hands and stops him from passing these evil measures that he has in mind, that would hinder me from living a quiet and peacable life. And that the Lord would only permit those things to pass that would allow us to still live for the Lord.
Ok so ya'll did not want to know my political thoughts but there they are. I HATE people who sit silently by while a man signs into law legislation that is using our money (and I thought we were in a recession) for funding abortions globaly. I will not be quiet while ONE MAN destroys America. I have 7 children and I want them to have a place to raise their little ones to live for the Lord.
But regardless of what Mr. Barak Hussein Obama does, and I still pray the Supreme Court has the gumption to ask for his Birth Certificate, I will stand up for my Lord, and speak those things that he would have us to say.
Sodomy is an abomination
A Child is a Blessing not a choice
Immigrants need to come here through proper channels
Terrorist do not deserve a trial, they deserve death
Christians, and all religions have the right to Free speach
The Right to Bear arms is to protect ourselves from despots like Mr. Obama.

I never thought about it that way. I pray that God will speak on behalf of the unborn and not allow the Freedom of Choice Act to be passed. Christians should not be afraid to speak up when something is wrong.
Blessings,
Victoria

Amen. I tell people often that I will pray for our president. I realize that God allows people to come into "power" for His reasons, and I may not understand it, but I trust Him. But to just roll over because he's charismatic and determined? Oh no, no, no. I will not support murder or anyone who supports the "choice" to kill.

This is the first time I've been to your blog, I think, but I like it already :) Be blessed, sister.
