I was wondering what kind of Memorial Day you celebrate. We live close to a lake and a cememtary is actually in our back yard. So we are seeing both kinds of Memorial day in our home.
The people at the lake are skiing and boating and fishing, there is nothing wrong with htose things but if that is all your Memorial day consist of them something is wrong. The people who are coming to the cemetary are palcing wreaths and flowers on the graves and are remember those who gave their lives for our freedom. But I believe that there is another kind of memorial day. Do not get me wrong me and the children have talked of the men who gave their lives for us and we want to honor them. But I want the children to remember the One who died so that they could be truly free.
Joh 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. True freedom is only found through Christ. We see this in our land. Yes the people have freedom but they are not truly free. They are searching for something that can only be found in Christ. Let our freedom ring and shine so greatly that those around us will wonder and want what we have.
