An awful CHRISTmas present

GRRRR,   oh I am so upset.  I have nursed my DD full time and I still got my cycles back.  YIKES.  If past history holds true, we will be excpecting next month.  It is not that I do not want another blessing from the Lord.  I am still trying to make sure the arrows that I have will turn out straight and true for the Lord.  I am not sure I can handle another little one yet.  I must trust in my father's wisdom.

On a positive note.  Cloth pads for mama are so much better than anything else.  I have made a ton of them and they are the best.  I altered a few patterns into one to find what I liked and what worked for me.  I do not use a holder, and they stay in place just fine.  They are also pretty as the fannel they have now comes in some very sweet prints.  If anyone else uses them I would love to hear how you handle washing and what pattern you use.  If this is to personal just drop my a PM.

arggg! that is the worst - you think you are safe!....

my great-grandmother (108) tells stories about her youngest sister coming home from school at age 8 at lunchtime to nurse. that boggles my mind.

Just the opposite for me. With the last three blessings, it took close to a year and a half. Our children are naturally spaced by 3 to 3 1/2 years. I have always wanted children closer in ages... I guess the grass is always greener on the other side!

ouch, an 8 year old nursing??? I can NOT imagine that!

I appreicate those that can handle being so fertile w/o taking precautions to keep from being so (birth control pills, etc). I was not one of those people, I used protection, and still had babies..so much for those working huh? LOL

when I breast fed, I still had my period, but I did not have relations with my hubby. It was just too much with all we had going on with 4 babies there at times! LOL

I no longer have a cycle, I had an emergency TVH....but I never used cloth protection, even when I did........I dont know if there would have been much of a savings using cloth......its been too long for me, but now my daughter cycles, so that may be something I want to look into.

thanks for sharing this........

remember, you may not be ment to have any more children........only the Lord knows.

I will be praying for you, and yours.

know that you are NOT the only woman in the world that has more than 2 children......

I had 4 children from 1990 to 1995.....and man did I get some stares!

keep your head up, you can do this!

I've never tried cloth pads...though I'd love to try them! (My husband is really grossed out by the idea but the frugal aspect should really appeal to him!:O)

How do you care for them?

As for your cycles returning....I never had a break with this baby. If anything, I've had longer periods and more frequent (week on one off etc) It's not fair!!! :O)

The one thing I want to say, I really applaud your decision to let the Lord control the number of children you will have. It's a decision that my husband and I both REALLY regret! I'll pray for you that you have the respite you need and the strength to deal with either situation!

God bless,

Kelley

Happy New Year!

I know exactly how that feels!

How much milk are you getting? Pump and see if it's plentiful enough. It took me a few kids to figure out that my supply wasn't high enough, despite using no pacifiers or bottles, taking the baby to bed and feeding on demand. Perhaps something happened to diminish your supply? If so, try taking Fenugreek supplements or some other natural remedy, and pump and nurse like crazy. You might be able to make your cycle go away. La Leche League has info on their site on how to use the Fenugreek. Good luck!
