Back after a break

It has been such a busy time for us.  And yet I do not know when it will every get "normal" at our home again. 

We have been doing schooling, and cleaning.  The never ending chores in a homekeepers life.

I had a friend who put it so well.  Her DH worked in demolition and she told him to picture being a homekeeper like this.

Your job for the day is to tear down a house and get the lot cleaned up.  You work all day tearing down, you clean up the mess and grade the lot.  It looks great.  You go to bed knowing that you did a job well. 

The next morning your boss calls and asks when you are going to get around to the house.  What??  I did that yesterday.  Oh no it is not done.  You rush to where the house was and to your amazement it is standing just where it was yesterday.  You go through the whole process again.  There that is taken care of.

Your boss calls you the next morning and he really wants that house down. 

Oh how frustrating.  Homemaking is a job that is never ending.  And yet it is one of the most rewarding jobs we will ever have.
