Feminine Friday

I just love Blog rolls and was excited that someone else had already started this one.

With the warm season upon us and it being sandal time, and I love sandals it is the perfect time to learn how to give yourself a pedicure

Pedicure Tools Needed:
Nail polish remover
Cotton balls
Toenail clippers and/or nail scissors
Nail file
Nail brush
Orange stick
Cuticle oil
Foot file
Water basin
Foot Scrub
Foot Lotion
Base Coat
Clear Nail Polish
Colored Nail Polish

Step1 Remove any old nail polish thoroughly.

Step2 Soak your feet in warm water for 10 to 15 minutes. Add Epsom salts or any other commercial foot soak.

Step3 Clip your toenails straight across using a toenail clipper or scissors. Clipping straight across will help prevent ingrown toenails.

Step4 File the toenails to smooth any rough edges.

Step5 Push back your cuticles. Use a cuticle moisturizer if they do not push back easily after soaking.

Step6 Massage your feet with a moisturizing lotion. Use an exfoliating lotion if the skin is dry and/or roughened. Use a loofah or pumice stone on roughened areas.

Step7 Separate your toes. Put cotton between your toes, or use a ready-made device for pedicures.

Step8 Apply a base coat and give it time to dry.

Step9 Apply polish, cleaning up any stray marks with a cotton swab dipped in polish remover. Add a second coat for deeper color.

Step10 Complete the pedicure with a top coat of clear polish.

Or you can give yourself a french pedicure

Things You’ll Need:
White nail polish
light pink or peach nail polish
Q-Tips
Nail Polish Remover (just in case)

Step1 Apply one even layer of the base coat (the pink or peach) to each toe.

Step2 Wait for coat to completely dry.

Step3 Next is the white tips. Apply a thin even amount of the white polish in a smooth, straight line to the tips. Take your time and gauge the size of the tips based on the size of the nail. If needed, you can go back and touch up or even up the line.

Step4 Wait for coat to completely dry.

Step5 Apply your final base coat (pink or peach) in a thin layer.

Step6 Put on sandals and go to the beach!

Here is my favorite spot for supplies, their hand creams are so rich. http://www.earththeraputics.com/

What a wonderful blog you have! I'm so glad that you participated this week so I could find you. :o)

GREAT idea to post on pedis! They're so light and fresh for summer, and nothing is more girlie than beautiful toes. (In fact, I need a repainting...LOL!)

Hope that you enjoyed a terrific weekend!
