I am not sure how many of you were reading my blog when I blogged at http://www.homesteadblogger.com/inthefishbowl but while there I blogged about a relaxing evening that almost ended in disaster.
Well it happened again. I am just doomed to not have relaxing times.
Here in our home we have one bathroom for 10 people. Ok 2 of those people are in cloth so they really don't count, but when you decide to take a bath you make sure you let everyone know and give them the chance to "take care of business" before you settle into the tub.
Hubby has said he would watch the children for me, they were all occupied doing different activities. I gathered my clothing and a book I was dying to read. The water was not pouring as fast as I would like but hey I could just climb in the tub and soak while it filled.
The book was good, warm water and the tub was full. Me being me, I didn't want to look up from the book to turn off the water. (I really should have) I reached out with my toes and turned the water off, OR SO I THOUGHT, the next thing I knew the shower was on and raining down on me and my brand new book. CRUD.
Turned the shower off and promptly got out, oh and did you know that when ALL the towels are dirty a t-shirt just doesn't cut it.
Oh well
Such is the life of this crazy mama.

So glad you found a few moments to post ... your moment of "relaxation" made me LOL because it sounds EXACTLY like the kind of quiet I used to get around my house when all the kids still lived at home (the 3 oldest have flown the nest).
Thanks for sharing this wonderfully funny story - it has brought back a flood of funny memories.
the other Mrs.B
For future reference a couple of flannel receiving blankets work great as stand in towels.
I can't count how many times I have ruined a book like this!! I'm so glad I'm not the only one haha!!
LOL! Oh bless your heart! Thanks for sharing your funny story.
I just found your blog, and I so enjoyed this bath/shower post. Sounds so much like something that would happen to me.:D
