A Proverbs 31 Thing

She prepareth meet for her household!!!

I spent most of yesterday doing this. No I am not a horrible cook but I had to start with this.

No I did not kill it someone in our church gave it to us. Mr. Visionary took the hide of and then I ended up with this in my home

Yes that is in my kitchen. I had a friend come over to help and she showed me how to do it and keep every thing clean. It was amazing. I did not know you could do a deer in the house without a big mess on your hands.

When it was all said and done we had 35 pounds of meat in our freezer.

God is so good to provide for us.

Yeah, when we process our venison, I also cover my tables and floors with plastic sheeting.

I use the venison just like I would beef (sometimes I have to add a little olive oil to keep it from drying out).

What a blessing!!!

Oh thanks for that hint. I had never done this before and was so excited to learn.

We make mostly stew and someone just mentioned canning. I might give that a try.

Wow Mrs.B you are brave to bring all of that in your kitchen. I have never myself processed venison, but have seen it done a million and 1 times being that I was raised with a big deer hunter. To be honest, I have never seen it done in the house, my Dad always did it in the garage.
You are very brave!!!!!

We are thankful!
Canned deer meat is good.

Yummy.

This time we are freezing it.

Girl...your not only modest mama, you are brave mama. Growing up with a dad that hunts, I never would go near his "table". I admire your bravery!!

I have never done that myself, but what a blessing God provided, and what courage you had to accomplish it. I would have been sick as a dog, cause blood make me......ill!
Love & Prayers,
Ronda
